FOP News!

Dear TEC Community,

As many of you are aware, the TEC board has decided to incorporate FOPs (Festivals of Praise) throughout the diocese of Cleveland. This will allow TEC to travel to different churches in addition to celebrating the Blessed Sacrament with the many priests of the TEC community. By doing this we also hope that we can increase some of our “recruiting” efforts for each TEC weekend. We realize that with change there is an adjustment period and we are prepared to assist in this transition. We hope that with your support we can continue to make our FOPs a great time of worship and fellowship.

A FOP schedule will be sent out in just a few weeks with the dates, locations, and priests for each monthly FOP. This schedule will also be found in the Winter 2012 Pelican (published at the end of the month). With this being said our first FOP of the NEW YEAR will be on Monday, January 16th at 7:30pm – Holy Family Parish in Parma, and the priest will be Fr. Joe Brankatelli. We hope to see you there.

With Love, Desi Gould

TEC 95

My dear TEC Community~

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! TEC 95 is this upcoming weekend!!!!! Our team has been working very hard to prepare for this TEC weekend. We are currently full at 30 TECites with a wait list at all age groups. This community doesn’t surprise me at all – each weekend I see the wonderful efforts of this community! It is important that we continue to pray for all those involved with TEC 95, as we all know the devil truly attempts to tempt us all as a TEC weekend comes closer. Here are some things you can do to help TEC 95:

  • Sacrificing and praying for the participants of TEC 95! Offer your troubles and sacrifices for all involved.
  • You can come help clean up! Those involved with the Main Team of TEC 94, this is part of your responsibility; but others are encouraged to meet downstairs around 2PM on Sunday to help clean up from the weekend. There is also an opportunity to help clean up and take bins and put them away at our new location…so the more help the better. We will be moving our storage from St. Adalberts to a new location in North Ridgeville (about 10 mins from St. Leonards).

Peace in Christ,
Nick Naugle

Hello Everyone,

Tec 95 is quickly approaching (next weekend to be exact) As many of you know, I am retiring from my position as Facilitator. Tina Cerha has agreed to take over. I want to thank all of you who have helped me in the past. I know that you will continue to support and help her out in the future. Change is good!

A reminder, if you worked Main Team on Tec 94, part of your commitment is to come for clean up on Sunday Jan 8th @2:00. Our plan is to move the bins to a new storage location at a parish in Lorain. (approximately 10 min from the retreat center) If you can help on Sunday we would greatly appreciate it.

On Thursday Jan. 5th we need 3 people to transport the bins from St. Adelbert’s to the retreat center. plan to be there at 5pm. On Sunday, Jan 8th, we need 4 to 5 people to take the bins to there new storage location. Please contact Tina (216-235-5523) or myself (440-670-5708). Many Blessings to you and your families in the New Year!

Greetings Tec Community,

Those of you who have made or worked a weekend lately have probably noticed that the usual “Surfer Jesus” manuals are not there. The reason for this is that this picture is no longer available to be purchased. So we as the board decided that we should hold a contest to pick the new picture. So you inspiring artists out there (or just anybody else) get moving and create a new picture for the new manuals. We are looking for a religious picture that has a spiritual theme, and hopefully has something to do with the Tec weekend. Continue Reading »

Dear TEC community,

As we move closer to the month of October and weeks away from TEC 94, we as a community need to come together and do all we can do to recruit teens for TEC 94. As of this email we do not yet have the required minimum of ten teens, set forth by the NCS TEC board. The minimum must be met by the Friday before the weekend (October 7th). I have little doubt that in the coming weeks that this community will come through, but lets not wait until that date. Please reach out to your friends, classmates, neighbors, and relatives.
