Make a Retreat
Never made a TEC retreat before? Please keep in mind the following:
- You must be at least 17 years old or a junior in high school to participate. (Adults young and old are welcome too!)
- You must be present for the ENTIRE weekend, from 9:30 on Friday to about 4:00 on Sunday (after Mass).
- There is a $50.00 application fee for supplies and food.
If you’d like to attend, or you know someone else who would, please complete the appropriate form for either teens and young adults (ages 17 – 30) or adults. Teens still in high school must also fill out the “Teen Reference Form” (attached to the teen/ya application).

Work a Retreat
Already made a TEC retreat, but want to come back to help? Please keep in mind the following:
- You must be present for the ENTIRE weekend, from setup on Thurs at 6:30 pm to about 4:00 on Sunday (after Mass and cleanup).
- You must be available to attend and be on time to all five team meetings. Meeting dates / times are setup by the Spiritual and Lay Directors of the weekend and are not determined until after Discernment. For those traveling from out of town, you are required to attend 3 meetings. Please discuss your situation with your Lay Director.
- Anyone who is 18+ years old (or will be by the weekend) is required by the diocese to complete VIRTUS training prior to the third formation meeting. As part of this, fingerprinting and a background check are required at a cost of approximately $30. Along with the letter confirming your placement on the weekend, you will also receive your current status with VIRTUS training, allowing you 5 – 6 weeks to complete all requirements if you have not done so already.
- There is a $40.00 team fee for supplies and food.

A Note on the Discernment Process
Oftentimes, there are more applications to work than positions to fill on a weekend. A Discernment Team prayerfully considers who will be on the team and in what position. Once the Discernment Process is completed, letters confirming positions will go out in a timely fashion.
